To 2015, with love
As I sit here reflecting on the year that is drawing to a close and planning for the new year that is about to begin, I am both humbled and hopeful. 2015 has been a truly remarkable year for me, both professionally and personally. I did something that I always wanted to do - I started my own business. The timing was not perfect and I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was. It was, and continues to be, an exhilarating roller coaster ride. I've had to stretch beyond my comfort zone and muster up a lot of faith and determination from deep down, more than I thought I had in me. At times I felt like I was on top of the world, which was usually right before plunging downward then slung around at breakneck speed.
In this past year I have faced challenges, as everyone does, and I think that I handled most of them well, the rest I chalk up to "learning experiences." I have learned a lot about business and how the world works, but more importantly, I learned a lot about myself. Throughout this time of professional and personal growth, there have been some very special people who stood by me and encouraged me to press on - acquaintances who have become dear friends, friends who are more like family, as well as a few loyal clients to whom I am very grateful for taking a chance on me.
As I write my goals for 2016, I am very excited about all of the plans I am making and the endless possibilities out there. Again, I feel like I am at the top of the roller coaster. I have my harness secured and I am filled with anticipation for the amazing ride that is about to begin.
